Fire Advice for Tenants

Fire incidents in the home claim the lives of an average of 300 people per year in the UK. We are determined to keep our customers and their loved ones safe by working together to reduce the risk of fire.

It’s important everyone can safely get out in the event of a fire, so if you think you or any of your household members could struggle, please let us know straight away.  We’ll arrange to carry out Person Centred Fire Risk Assessment with you, which will assess what they would need to do in the event of a fire.

If any of your household do not speak, or have limited skills in, English then please also let us know so that we can provide information in a language they will understand.

You can update your household details and needs by emailing Peter.Mulligan-Cant@foxtons.co.uk or calling on 02089635174

If a fire broke out in your building or flat, would you know what to do?

Knowing the latest advice could save your life. Find out more below.

What to do if a fire breaks out in your building outside of your flat

If the fire isn't in your own flat and your flat is not affected by smoke from a fire elsewhere in the building, the advice is to stay put and call the emergency services by dialling 999.  Your flat entrance door is fire rated to protect you for enough time for the fire services to address the fire or rescue you.

What to do if a fire breaks out inside your flat

If a fire breaks out in your flat, the first thing to do is to get everyone out - making sure you shut the door behind you - and call the emergency services on 999.

If you cannot escape from your flat:

You must stay at a safe distance away from the fire until a fire officer tells you it is safe to go back inside.  The fire & rescue service can obtain list of people who may have difficulties leaving the building in the event of a fire.  If you are unsure if you have notified us or have any difficulties, please alert the emergency services so they can best assist you.

Don’t wait until it’s too late, plan your escape route today and advise us if you think you might struggle with any evacuation or safety measures.

Hi, I'm your KFH Property Manager

As your Property Manager I regularly carry out inspections in flat blocks and sheltered housing schemes in order to identify issues that may affect the performance of the building in the event of an emergency; this covers both structural and behavioural issues (such as items being left in communal areas or fire doors being propped open).

I am interested in your ideas and opinions on fire safety related issues and encourage you to get in touch by:

Email: fire@conciliumassets.com

Whether it’s good or bad news, we want to hear from you!

If you have an idea that you think would improve our services, or have a general comment, we’d love to hear from you. Likewise, we’d like to pass on the good news if you’ve had a particularly good service from our team.

Sometimes things can go wrong and we need to know if your experience has fallen below our standards. We’re committed to providing quality services that are fair to everyone, so whether it’s a big or small issue we want to know so we can work together to resolve it.
